Sesame Place
June 30, 2009

Jay has been on vaction this week, so we decided that today we’d take Leanne to Sesame Place.   Needless to say she had a fabulous time!  She loved seeing all the characters (as long as they kept a safe distance from her), riding the rides and exploring the park.  We did some of the non water rides, saw Elmo’s World Live and the Abby Cadabby Treasure Hunt Show and the parade.  Cookie Monster must have made quite the impression on her because she keeps talking about “Big Cookie Monster”.  It was a great day.  Leanne loved it and was passed out in her carseat even before we pulled out of the parking lot.  Jay and I had a great time, too.  There is nothing better then seeing things like this through the eyes of your child.

Little Mermaid - Our First Day at the Pool
June 29, 2009

Finally the weather cleared up and we had a day nice enough to head to the pool!

This was Leanne’s first time at the neighborhood pool this year, so we weren’t sure how she would react.  I was pretty certain she’d love it, and was hoping she’d be a little bit cautious.  I was right about her loving it, and she was a little cautious.  At first.  We spent some time in the baby pool where she took a face first fall into the water which she recovered from pretty quickly.  After some time in the baby pool we headed over to the big pool where Leanne pretty much stuck to the stairs until she saw a little girl who was about 7 jump in.  After that all she wanted to do was jump into the water.  I have a feeling that by the time the summer is over Leanne is going to be swimming laps and jumping off the high dive.  Well probably not, but I am anxious to see how her swimming and love of the water progress!

So Excited and ready to go!

Little Miss Muffin
June 18, 2009

Leanne loves helping me do anything around the house whether it be laundry, cleaning or even baking.  We were in for yet another rainy day so, I decided it would be a good day for us to to bake some muffins.  She loved pouring the ingredients in the bowl and mixing everything together.  Of course she loved sneaking some tastes of the batter!

Leanne was so proud of the muffins she baked that she insisted we take one up to Daddy’s office to share with him.  She knocked on his office door and said, “It’s Leanne.  Have muffins!”.

Gymboree Fun

Leanne has been going to Gymboree class since she was about 3 months old.  I am really bad about remembering to bring the camera to class, so we have very few pictures of Leanne at Gymboree.    I happened to remember it today and was able to get some photos of Leanne doing her favorite things!
