Wow. I can’t believe it has been over a month since my last blog. We are now well into our third month of marriage and time is flying! The summer was a busy one and it looks like we will continue to be busy through the fall.
I spent a lot of the summer working on the house and getting everything organized post wedding. I have my name changed on just about everything, and am working on combining our finances and all the fun stuff that goes along with that!
The 25th of August was “Jimmy Buffett Day”. This was the first year Melissa and I planned the event ourselves and we did a wonderful job! We went with about 14 people, rented a huge van and did the whole tailgating thing complete with charcoal grill, and tons of food and drink. We are very excited about the upgrades to Buffett Day that we have planned for next year. For those of you who have yet to experience Buffett tailgating first hand - it is a definite must do! It never ceases to amaze me what Buffett fans do to set up a truly memorable tailgating experience. As always, the concert was amazing too (although I think this is the first year I actually remember the concert). Jay has a bunch of Buffett pics to add to the site so be sure to check back for them.
Our current excitement is the birth of Becca and Rob’s new baby girl, Kiera. For those of you who don’t know Becca and Rob they are our close friends and the parents of our super cute flower girl, Kaleigh. Mom, Dad and Kaleigh seem to be adjusting well to the new addition. Kiera is a beautiful baby and even Jay, who was a little nervous at first, opted to hold her for a while. Neither of us wanted to put her down, so I am sure that Becca was anxious for us to leave so she could finally have her new baby back!
As a side note, don’t want everyone to get the wrong impression with all the baby talk going on lately. Jay and I plan to live vicariously through Rob and Becca for a while…

BTW… I uploaded the pictures she’s talking about, both for Buffett and for Kiera.
